Even a wounded world is feeding us.
Even a wounded world holds us,
giving us moments of joy and wonder.
I choose joy over despair,
not because I have my head in the sand,
but because joy is what the earth gives me daily and I must return the gift.
-Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass
I spent the morning in RMNP, it was a chilly 23 degrees. Halfway through my walk, the sun came out to melt the fresh snowfall.
Although I don’t have photos of the moose, elk and turkeys that were seen…here are a few pictures I took along the way.
Your photos are incredible and fill me with ever-love for the Rockies. Thank you for sharing. Side note: I read Braiding Sweetgrass last summer after having it on my TBR list for years, and it immediately rose to my Top 5 books of all time.
